Special thanks to Dr. Jeff Johnson and Dr. Maureen Porter for supporting the growth of the Festival with its first ever cash prizes! The submissions so far have been of excellent quality so we’re hoping for a real battle for these awards!

We will choose the favorites by ballot during the raffle at the end of each show so the ultimate winner would take home both prizes… Submissions are due June 4, so get them in!

Join the dozens of local filmmakers who have contributed to the BBFF!

Submissions must be received by June 4, see our Guidelines for all the details.

We’ll have a special prize for the Audience Favorite and Best Young Filmmaker (under 18) so go get your shots and mix it up!

Short Films = Under 5 minutes are best
Shortest Accepted Film to Date: 1 min 10 sec
Extraordinary Submissions may be up to 15 minutes
Entry or producer should include a relevant connection to Central Oregon
Creative Films Win!
Point of view footage (helmet cams) should be stable or limited

Past “categories” have included:

dirt jumping
music video
abstract
comedy
documentary
educational
young filmmakers

Film Submissions Wanted

Join us on Friday, May 6 at the Tower Theater for the 3rd Annual BBFF!

Submission deadline is April 24th, we will gladly take submissions prior. Last year we had too many submissions and could not show them all, get in quick. If you are ‘thinking’ of submitting a movie, let us know.

As in previous years, submissions must be somehow bike related and have a local connection with central Oregon. This can be by content, editing, actors, characters, location, whatever. Use your imagination, it just has to have a local connection. We encourage creativity with your movie. Riding, educational, funny, serious, musical, action, plain old stupid, we will look at them all.

Please try to keep movies to a length of between 30 seconds to 7 or 8 minutes. See full Submission Guidelines.

This is a fund raiser for COTA, Central Oregon Trail Alliance and the Bend Endurance Academy. Proceeds will directly Benefit these two local non profits.

We had about 130 people at the 4 pm show and a sold-out show at 7 pm.

We raised a really nice amount of money for COTA and the Bend Endurance Academy (numbers to come soon!) and it was summed up nicely by one fan who said, “This is what biking in Bend is all about — good friends, a cool atmosphere and a really fun party!”

Thanks to all the filmmakers who submitted films!

For many reasons, we do not sell copies of the festival in part or as a whole. All filmmakers retain the rights to their submissions and some choose to share the content online while others do not.

Bend Cyclery has donated a Stolen BMX bike for the 4pm show. Tell the kids to come out for a very entertaining show with lots more great raffle prizes, all in support of COTA and Bend Endurance Academy.

Tickets will go on sale this Saturday at several local bike shops and at the Tower Theater box office.

$10 per ticket.

To date, we have received over 20 submissions and we’ve heard there are more in the works. So far, films include:

Freeriding
Tandems
Mocumentaries
Commuting
Trail Work
Sprinting
Archive footage
Legends

Both shows will be 90% the same, there might be some extra content for the 21+ over show, but both shows will feature great raffle prizes from our amazing sponsors and supporters, rowdy crowds and lots of friends.

Bike parking will be available in 5 parking spaces directly in front of the Tower. Bring your own lock!

Beer will be served at the 7pm show only. Please DO NOT bring your own alcohol!
